The 2023 Ferris State University Alumni golf outing is set for Friday, May 12 with
registration beginning at 10 a.m.
There are still opportunities for teams or individuals to join Ferris State University alumni, friends and supporters, as the Alumni Association’s annual golf outing is set for Friday, May 12, at the Clio Country Club. Guests are welcome to register beginning at 10 a.m., with play commencing at noon.
Director of Alumni Relations Brandi Behrenwald said the golf committee of the Alumni Relations board collaborated with the Clio Country Club management to present a new opportunity for participants.
“We are looking forward to our time at this exclusive venue, which should present a first visit for many of our traditional guests,” Behrenwald said. “The management is proud of its layout, which recently hosted a tournament for aspiring professionals. We have seen the excellence of their maintenance and the unique aspects of the course, so it should be interesting and challenging for our teams to tackle that day.”
Behrenwald added that 20-plus sponsors are signed up and the Alumni Relations staff is eager to work with other groups or businesses interested in joining the event.
“Our dinner, following the round, has become a hallmark of this outing, as the alumni board goes all out to secure an impressive array of gifts focused on golf, recreation and other collectibles that any winner would enjoy,” Behrenwald said. “The outing is a fundraiser for our Legacy Scholarship program and we remind our alumni and supporters that the Ferris Futures Scholarship Challenge is still available and serves as a catalyst for the success of this program.”
