The Aerospace Industry Association of Michigan brings member businesses to the Ferris State University campus for recruitment and outreach Thursday, Nov. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the event taking place in the David L. Eisler Center ballrooms.

More than a dozen corporations in Michigan’s growing aerospace industry will take part in Aerospace Day Thursday, Nov. 17, at 10 a.m. in the ballrooms of Ferris State University’s David L. Eisler Center.

Ferris’ Career Readiness Specialist and Employer Liaison Michele Albright said the Aerospace Industry Association of Michigan is bringing in member organizations with an eye on students and Ferris alums seeking internships and career opportunities.

“The Aerospace Industry Association of Michigan has been seeking to connect its members with Ferris State University for several months,” Albright said. “Based on the strength of our engineering and business programs, the university is recognized as an excellent source of well-trained candidates for their numerous high-demand career fields.”

Underclassmen are encouraged to attend and network with corporate representatives. Students and alumni seeking internships or full-time employment are advised to dress in business casual and have resumes ready for the event, as these companies are hiring for entry-level positions.

“We will also have the employers tour the College of Engineering Technology around 2 p.m., immediately following Aerospace Day,” Albright said. “We are glad to have the opportunity to enhance relationships with the aerospace industry, one of Michigan’s fastest-growing drivers of employment and economic growth.”
