Ferris State University Dining Services, the President's Office and Student Government
are co-sponsoring Pancakes with the President, a traditional comfort meal offered
during Finals Week. The event takes place from 8 to 10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, in the
Rock Café.A Ferris State University exam week tradition resumes on Monday, Dec. 13, as Pancakes with the President returns to The Rock Café from 8 to 10 p.m.
Dining Services is an event co-sponsor with Student Government and Ferris’ President’s Office. Student Government President Paige Abromaitis, a Hospitality Management senior from Dryden, said her meeting with Director of Dining Services Scott Rossen left her encouraged.
“I am excited about the collaboration to make Pancakes With The President enjoyable for all our students,” Abromaitis said. “We will offer the traditional pancakes and sausage, but Scott said there will also be a gluten-free pancake available for those with dietary concerns along with vegan sausage. It is great that Dining Services is looking to include everyone in this fun event at an important time in the semester.”
The President’s Office welcomes support from faculty and staff as university administrators serve the late evening comfort meal to students. Abromaitis said the event also offers the Student Government an outreach opportunity.
“Not only will our members be spreading the word ahead of Pancakes with the President, but we will also be staffing a table in The Rock that evening,” Abromaitis said. “There will be giveaways during the event, and we look forward to talking with any students who have an interest in our organization and serving their campus community.”
