Summer Internships: Samuel Reichardt

Ferris State University students gain valuable work experience through internships. Internships also can confirm or redirect career decision-making, provide marketability, develop people skills and enhance classroom learning. Many academic programs require one, but the experience is encouraged regardless to provide students with a better understanding of what will be expected of them in the workplace.

Many students are participating in myriad internships this summer. Meet:

Samuel Reichardt

He is: A senior from Brighton, Michigan, majoring in Marketing and minoring in Sales.

His Internship: He’s an intern at Tullymore Golf Resort in Canadian Lakes, southeast of Big Rapids, Michigan, working in sales and marketing. “This internship has given me a different perspective of the everyday consumer. I’m so thankful for this internship and the growth and knowledge I’ve gained along the way.”

Future Plans: “I plan to graduate from Ferris State University’s College of Business with my Bachelor of Science in Marketing and minor in Sales at the end of the Fall 2022 semester. After college, I plan to find a job in sales and marketing that allows me to continue my growth and knowledge within this industry. I would also like to move to South Carolina and own a beach house with a French bulldog.”

Advice to future Marketing students: “Ask for help and get involved with your university’s Marketing program, get to know your professors and peers, and just enjoy the ride.”

Other Activities: “I like to give back to my community by getting involved with local philanthropies. I encourage everyone to do the same.”

Core Value Sam Relates to: “The university core value I relate to the most is excellence. Approach every opportunity with a will to learn from mistakes and take any advice you can from your peers.”
