Ferris Dual Enrollment Information Meeting Scheduled for March 3

Ferris State University is hosting a dual enrollment meeting for Mecosta-Osceola area high school students. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Interdisciplinary Resource Center, Room 120 on the Big Rapids campus.

Participating in dual enrollment allows high school students to earn college credit. This may help students finish their college degree on-time (or early), reduce future college costs, and have a higher college grade point average.

The meeting will cover:

  • student eligibility requirements
  • dual enrollment benefits
  • admissions and registration processes
  • University resources.

Students will learn how to:

  • complete their applications
  • search for Ferris classes
  • fill out the dual enrollment registration form

Students should RSVP for the meeting at the dual enrollment website.

High school students who take at least three college credits through the FerrisNow Program are eligible for the FerrisNext Scholarship, which provides a $1,000 award to high school students who earn a “C” or higher in their Ferris coursework. Scholarship eligibility criteria is available on the New Freshmen Scholarships website at www.ferris.edu/finaid.
