Six Dawg Days Sessions Offer Prospective Students, Families a Glimpse of Life at Ferris

Ferris State University

Ferris State University is set to host the first of six Dawgs Days sessions. The first event will be hosted at the University Center on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 9:15 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Dawg Days is Ferris’ Saturday event series for prospective students and their families to check out the Big Rapids campus and learn more about Ferris. At Dawg Days, students can speak with faculty and staff from colleges that house their program of interest as well as other departments across campus that provide support services.

“Dawg Days are great events for prospective students to learn more about what Ferris has to offer and get a feel for the campus,” said Eric Simone, director of orientation/marketing and events. “Our visitors have fun interacting with our students, exploring our campus and discovering opportunities at Ferris.”

Students and their families check in at the University Center. Signs will direct guests onto campus and to the check-in location.

Dawg Days includes presentations from the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid, Admissions and a student panel to answer questions. Guests tour the campus and see sites such as FLITE library, the Student Recreation Center, North Hall and University Center. Guests will receive a complimentary lunch at The Quad Café, in University Center.

During the first Dawg Days session, on Saturday, Oct. 19, guests are invited to attend the Bulldogs’ home football game against the Northwood University Timberwolves.
