The Rock Café’s Monday, Dec. 9 hours remain the same, but the culinary focus will be on batter, syrup and sausage as Pancakes with the President is planned from 10 p.m. to midnight.

The Student Government Association collaborates with Ferris President David Eisler and other administrators to host this event held the Monday evening of exam week each fall and spring semester. SGA President Allyson Faulkner, a third-year student in Political Science from Rockford, said Pancakes with the President is a great opportunity to celebrate the semester’s student success and to offer good luck wishes during finals week.

“We will also have raffles for prizes from a number of area restaurants, Applebees, Buffalo Wild Wings and Gypsy Nickel, to mention a few,” Faulkner said. “To attend and get involved, students only need to have their IDs when they come to The Rock, and the rest will be taken care of.”

Eisler, joined by faculty and staff members, collaborate with SGA to host this event. Faulkner said many Student Government peers consider Pancakes with the President to be a highlight of the year’s schedule.

“I would like to thank the staff at The Rock, in advance, for their collaborative efforts to make each one of these a reality,” Faulkner said. “We are looking forward to working together and reaching out to the campus community.”
