A free, independent online information source for healthcare degrees and careers has included Ferris State University’s online Master of Science in Nursing program in its “10 Most Affordable Programs for 2020.”
BestHealthDegrees.com turned to the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System to comprise a list of programs, which acknowledges Ferris’ options for MSN students, including Nursing Informatics, Nursing Education and Nursing Administration.
Editors for the Chapel Hill, North Carolina-based publisher noted the flexibility of online instruction as an attribute for those with bachelor’s degrees in Nursing. They added that as a factor since 12-hour, round-the-clock work schedules are becoming commonplace in healthcare. They described the BSN as “the minimum education for nurses” and indicated the Master of Science in Nursing affords opportunities for promotion to management and leadership positions, and higher salaries.
