Ferris State University alumni and friends will gather for good times and great golf on Friday, May 17, at the 30th annual Alumni Association Golf Outing set for the Golf Club at Thornapple Pointe, south of Grand Rapids.
Alumni Relations assistant Lynn Miller said there are still opportunities to assemble a foursome and play golf along the Thornapple River.
“Scott Cook, a 2012 graduate of the PGAGM program, is the general manager at Thornapple Pointe and our liaison for this outing,” Miller said. “We look forward to a great day and this visit to another special Lower Peninsula course for our alumni and friends to enjoy.”
Miller said the Alumni Association holds steady with a $165 charge for the outing, which provides players with complementary driving range access, 18 holes of golf, lunch and dinner buffets, tournament apparel and a variety of prize opportunities.
“There is still time for alumni or businesses to present themselves in sponsorship, should they want to claim a hole, put their name on a beverage cart or sponsor the driving range for the outing,” Miller said. “Each player who comes out and sponsorship received helps us to fund the association’s Legacy Scholarship, and support our annual schedule of activities. We welcome calls about these opportunities to the Alumni Association office at (231) 591-2345, from now through Monday, May 6.”
