Gov. Rick Snyder has announced the appointment of Ferris State University’s Gregory Zimmerman to the Michigan Board of Occupational Therapists. Zimmerman is an academic department head and is responsible for leadership, management and administration of academic programs and department operations in the College of Health Professions.
“I am humbled to be selected to this board and pleased to serve in this capacity,” Zimmerman said. “Ensuring professional standards are current and maintained is critically important for the health and safety of our citizens.”
The nine-member board assists the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs in overseeing the licensure and practice of Michigan's occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants.
“I thank Gregory for joining the Michigan Board of Occupational Therapists,” Snyder said. “His knowledge of the health field gives me confidence he will bring great insight to this board.”
