The University Events Calendar highlights important dates for Ferris State University students, faculty and staff
as the Fall 2017 semester closes and the Spring 2018 term is on the horizon.
Listed below are dates that include Ferris’ full closing schedule as well as dates for students to be aware of as they make plans for the start of the Spring 2018 semester, in January.
Here are the key dates:
Monday through Friday, Dec 11- 15.
Examination Week is Monday, Dec. 11 through Friday, Dec. 15.
Saturday, Dec 16.
Commencement is set for 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16.

Monday, Dec. 18
Final grades are due by 1 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 21
All university offices close for winter break at the end of the work day, on Thursday, Dec. 21.
Tuesday, Jan. 2
University offices reopen after winter break, beginning at 8 a.m.
Thursday, Jan. 4
Late registration for Spring 2018 semester begins.
Orientation hosted by Admissions at 9 a.m.
