Pancakes with the President Event Kicks off Ferris' Spring 2017 Exam Week

Ferris State UniversityIt’s that time of the year for Ferris State University students completing their final exams. The Student Government Association is set to host Pancakes with the President on Monday, May 1 from 10 p.m. to midnight in The Rock Café.

Pancakes with the President is hosted biannually and occurs during the exam weeks of the fall and spring semesters. The event is an opportunity for students to take a study break and be served pancakes by President David Eisler and other members of the faculty and administrative staff.

“It’s great to see all the dedicated students taking a much-needed break from their exam schedules,” said Patrick Maloney, the incoming 2017-18 Student Government president and a junior from McBain majoring in Accounting and Business Administration. “It is important to create an atmosphere where students can relax with friends and enjoy some syrupy goodness before buckling down for the week ahead.”

In addition to dining on pancakes and sausage, Pancakes with the President is an opportunity for the students to participate in games, play trivia and possibly win donated prizes, such as Ferris apparel.

Students do not need to have a meal plan to enjoy the event. However, students must present their valid student identification card to be admitted to The Rock Café.

Pancakes with the President is co-sponsored by Student Government, Dining Services, the Ferris Bookstore, the President’s Office and the Pride Committee.
