University Center One-Year Anniversary Celebration Set for Jan. 22

Ferris State UniversityFerris State University has plans to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the 2015 opening of the University Center building. The event takes place on Friday, Jan. 22 beginning at 8 p.m. throughout the facility.

The anniversary is a collaborative effort of several campus departments, including the Student Affairs division, the Office of the President, the University Center, the Center for Leadership, Activities and Career Services, UREC and Dining Services.

“There will be free activities and food on every floor,” said Nicholas Smith, coordinator of activities for CLACS. “There will also be plenty of giveaways and large door prizes.”

In addition to the collaborative efforts of university divisions and offices, multiple student organizations have been a part of the organization of this event. Those student groups include the American Marketing Association, Bulldog Sustainability Alliance, Circle K International, Entertainment Unlimited, National Panhellenic Council, Social Work Association and Student Veteran’s Association.

The anniversary celebration wraps up at midnight.
