EU to Host Five-Star Motivational Speaker Hilary Corna on March 1

Hilary CornaFerris State University’s Entertainment Unlimited will host motivational speaker Hilary Corna as a five-star speaking event on campus on Tuesday, March 1 at 7 p.m. in University Center, Room 202.

“I am hoping to fill the University Center Ballroom with students who have the courage to take risks and follow their dreams,” said Lacie Tryan, programming coordinator for EU. “Hilary Corna is a strong leader who people can look up to and learn valuable lessons from.”

Corna is a former executive officer with Toyota Asia and has been seen on ForbesWoman, NBC and TEDx. Corna dares her audience to welcome new experiences. She speaks to students on campuses across the country about change, experiences and stepping out of comfort zones.

A page on the Hilary Corna website reads, “This modern twist on leadership cultivates intrinsic motivation in students to challenge the norm, discover their own leadership style and take on roles on campus. What to expect when Hilary visits your campus? Authenticity, discomfort and empowered students who get involved and understand the daring art of leadership.”

EU is the campus programming board. It helps students gain event planning and management skills. The organization meets weekly on Mondays in University Center, Room 116. EU is free to join and is open to all academic majors.

For any additional information about EU you can contact Tryan by phone at (906) 399-1499.
