Poet Andrea Gibson will recite her poetry at Ferris State University on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. in University Center, rooms 202B and 202C.
The themes expressed in her poems include love, gender, sexuality, illness, family, forgiveness and what it means to heal. The event is part of the Ferris Arts and Lectures Series.
“The challenge of the Arts and Lectures Committee is to facilitate the infusion of arts and lectures into the classroom setting,” said Paula Hadley-Kennedy, Arts and Lecture Assistant. “We hope that our students find the event intellectually stimulating and that they learn something new from the experience.”
Student tickets are $5 and adult tickets are $7 at the Williams Auditorium website.
