Office of International Education to Host Free Meal to Students Not Traveling Home

Ferris State University’s Office of International Education is hosting a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for international students living on campus. The event is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 26, beginning at 12 p.m.

The event will be held in the West Campus Community Center on the Thanksgiving Thursday as many students travel home to celebrate the holiday. The event allows students unable to travel home, during the holiday break, to enjoy a free meal as part of Thanksgiving. Bob Evans restaurant will prepare the food and coordinate the event. The OIE is sponsor for the meal in collaboration with the Office of Housing and Residence Life.

“We thought that this was a great way for students to experience a traditional Thanksgiving meal and congregate with other students,” said Lisa vonReichbauer, OIE assistant director. “This is a great event for students that don’t get to travel home during the holidays.”

This event is free to students living in Bond Hall, East Campus Suites or any other on-campus apartments on Thanksgiving. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.

Anyone interested in participation must sign up by Thursday, Nov. 19 at one of the following locations: Bond Hall, East Campus Suites, Cramer Hall, the Office of International Education or the West Campus Community Center.
