Meagan Pollock to Discuss Females in Engineering at March 19 Event

Ferris State University will host Meagan Pollock on Thursday, March 19 at 6 p.m. in the University Center, Room 203, for a networking reception regarding females in engineering.

Pollock will share her experiences and discuss different opportunities for females in engineering with current students. The reception is open to the public. Dinner will be provided.

Pollock is the director of Professional Development at the National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity. She currently develops programs and products that help educators improve equity in the classroom, with the ultimate goal to increase the participation of women and minorities in high-demand, high-wage careers.

Previously, Pollock worked as an engineer for Texas Instruments. She holds undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Math, a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a doctorate in Engineering Education.
