They all have a story. Here, we tell part of that story. Meet: Janelle Flemming

Janelle FlemmingShe is: A junior majoring in International Communications and Media from Oranjestad, Aruba.

How did you find out about Ferris? Janelle found out about Ferris through her school’s study abroad program.

Why was Ferris your No. 1 choice? She had always wanted to visit the U.S. and experience the college life here. When Janelle looked at the Ferris website and saw all of the activities it hosts, she knew that Ferris would be a fun school to attend.

What do you like most about Ferris? Janelle loves all of the events that are held for international students to get involved. She also likes the student body as a whole.

What do you enjoy about your academic major? She enjoys that she gets to learn about many different aspects about international communications, from writing articles to producing videos.

How is Ferris preparing you for your future? Janelle is taking classes here at Ferris that will help to lead her to her dream job in the future.

Why should Ferris be a top choice for others? “Ferris should be a top choice for others making the decision to go to school because Ferris has a small campus where students can get enough attention from their teachers,” Janelle said.

What is the best part about being at Ferris? Meeting a variety of people from different countries and cultures is Janelle’s favorite part about Ferris.
