The Center for Leadership, Activities and Career Services wants to develop Rock Star students at its Leadership Conference on Saturday, April 11.
The conference will be hosted in the University Center Ballroom. Check-in is 12 to
1 p.m. A “Rock Star” keynote speaker will address the audience at 1 p.m. followed
by three 50-minute concurrent sessions beginning at 2 p.m. Dinner and entertainment
will be provided along with an award ceremony at 5 p.m. Concurrent session topics
include: learning your leadership type, leading for change, challenging others, selling
leadership experience to employers, new member/transitioning member education, risk
management, event planning and more.
“We are excited to offer important information about leadership in a fun and innovative way. No one will be bored by what we have planned,” said Angela Roman, director of CLACS. “Our Rock Star host will motivate, entertain and discuss with students how they can be a Rock Star leader.”
Registration is available via OrgSync, through Wednesday, April 8. The cost is $10 per person or half price for groups of five or more (individuals register separately, but costs would be combined for the half-price discount). Conference participants should pay, after registration, at the CLACS office. Cash or checks are accepted.
If a student or RSO already has Rock Star status, and would like to present at the conference, event proposals are due by Wednesday, April 8. Complete the online form. If a proposal is selected, the presenter will receive a free registration to the full conference.
