Cluchey Assumes Role as Interim Dean for Extended and International Operations

Cheryl ClucheyCheryl Cluchey has been named interim dean for Extended and International Operations at Ferris State University. The announcement was made Tuesday, Sept. 2 by the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Cluchey (pictured) will be directly responsible for the main functions of EIO in Big Rapids and off-campus operations. Programs directly reporting to Cluchey will be Conferences and Professional Services, the Regional Directors for Southeast Michigan, Flint/Midland, Capital Area Region, Northern Michigan and Dowagiac, the Academic Incubator and Market Research, as well as support staff in Big Rapids.

Additionally, Tracy Powers was named interim associate dean. Powers will have direct responsibility for the Grand Rapids/Muskegon region and will assume additional leadership for Grand Rapids-based initiatives. In addition to those currently reporting to Powers, the following areas will also report through her: EIO/GR Marketing, Student Services/Admissions, EIO Outreach, Entrepreneurship Institute, and the Latino Business and Economic Development Center.

Deb Thalner will also assume responsibilities as interim associate dean for online. She will continue to work with the E-Learning Management Advisory Team, as well as EIO and Ferris colleges to expand and improve online offerings.
