Eleven Ferris Students Receive Print and Graphic Scholarship Foundation Scholarships

Ferris State UniversityEleven Ferris State University College of Business students were awarded scholarships from the Print and Graphic Scholarship Foundation.

Total scholarship monies awarded to Ferris students, for the 2014-15 academic year, amounted to $26,700.

“The PGSF is a very generous organization,” said Heather Wauldron, of Mount Pleasant, a senior in Graphic Design and a scholarship recipient.

Here is the list of Ferris’ PGSF scholarship recipients:

Lynette DeGeorge of Michigan Center, Mich., Print Management
Whitney Smith of Jackson, Mich., Graphic Media Management
John Ensink of Canadian Lakes, Mich., Graphic Media Management
Rachel Reber of Bellevue, Mich., Graphic Media Management/Graphic Communications
Dusti Manning of Herron, Mich., Graphic Arts/Business Advertising
Heather Wauldron of Mount Pleasant, Mich., Graphic Design
Lauren Bearinger of Grand Rapids, Graphic Media Management
Caraline Visuri of Dowagiac, Graphic Design
Aubree Berg of Freeland, Mich., Graphic Design/Advertising


PGSF is a nonprofit organization that awards scholarships to undergraduate college students pursuing graphic communication careers. Out of more than 500 applicants at 78 colleges, 167 students were chosen. The scholarship is recurring and some students have received this award multiple times.

“We are excited to recognize the future leaders of the industry and help them achieve their dreams and goals,” said Bernie Eckert, PGSF administrator.
