Pazkowski Named 2014-15 Entertainment Unlimited President

Evan PazkowskiEvan Pazkowski, a Ferris State University junior majoring in Marketing, will serve as the 2014-15 president of Entertainment Unlimited, the campus programming board.

The Saline native came to Ferris in Fall 2011 due to its close proximity to his hometown and because it is program driven. He joined EU during his first week on campus. Since then, the organization has given him a range of opportunities to gain real experience.

“Ferris proved itself, to me, as a school that was professional and exciting all while providing a small-town feel,” Pazkowski said.

EU consists of more than 30 general members that are charged with the responsibility of planning and executing a variety of entertainment events, including comedians, hypnotists and Ferris Fest, the annual outdoor concert featuring nationally-known artists.

During the 2013-14 academic year, Pazkowski had the opportunity to serve as the Ferris Fest coordinator. He oversaw the entire concert through all of the planning stages, including: creating surveys, picking the artists and planning marketing events like the Stuff-A-Friend contest.

“Due to the University Center renovations, Ferris Fest had to work around a location change and move the annual concert to the intramural fields,” he said.

Pazkowski’s goals for the 2014-15 year are to continue to provide the “best social, cultural, informative and entertaining events to campus,” he said.

“EU believes that it can provide a great learning experience for students who want to join and keep the rest of the student body entertained while doing it,” he said.

Pazkowski encourages students to join EU, and to get involved in the organization’s campus events.
