The Ferris State University Pride Committee is sponsoring the second annual Ferris Pride Spring Break Photo Contest.
This year, the committee is opening the contest to all Ferris students who want to showcase their Ferris pride. Contestants are asked to be safely creative with their photos. Prizes will be awarded for the top three submitted photos. Multiple-item prizes packages could include Ferris-branded bags, pullovers, sunglasses and T-shirts. The winners will be notified by email.
“The photo contest is a fun way for students to show their Ferris pride,” said Elaine Kamptner, executive assistant to University President David Eisler and chair of the FSU Pride Committee. “We enjoy seeing our students’ creativity and the many locations that the Ferris name is viewed.”
The rules for the student contest are as follows:
- Wear Ferris apparel while on spring break (no matter where you are);
- Take a “Ferris Pride” picture of yourself wearing your Ferris “gear” while on Spring Break (photos including alcohol, alcohol promotions, drugs, drug paraphernalia or nudity will not be judged and will be destroyed);
- Email you “Ferris Pride” photo to [email protected]. All entries should include the following information: First and last name, academic
major, hometown and year in school of the individual or individuals officially submitting
(and pictured in) the photo. Individuals prominently pictured in the photo should
be clearly identified. Also required is a caption that describes where the photo was
taken, the date it was taken and what the person is doing at the location; and
- Your photo will then be posted on our official Ferris social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) as “Ferris Pride on Spring Break.”

Katie is participating in our Ferris Pride Spring Break Photo Contest. In this photo, Katie is shown at The Canyons in Park City, Utah enjoying her time off. We thank all of our participants and look forward to seeing more entries as they are submitted. For demonstrating 'Ferris Pride on Spring Break,' we especially thank you, Katie."
