Fall 2014 Pancakes with the President Announcement
As students gear up for final exams and Pancakes with the President on Monday, Dec. 8, this year’s event features an added bonus: tutoring.
The Academic Support Center will set up shop in The Rock Café during Pancakes with the President, from 10 p.m. until midnight. In addition to the usual activities, this semester’s Pancakes with the President features tutoring opportunities for the benefit of students. The ASC will provide tutoring in biology, chemistry, math and Spanish in the Private Dining Room of The Rock Café while students are dining on pancakes.
“This is an excellent opportunity for our students to get additional tutoring support to equip them for their final exams,” said Karen Royster-James, supervisor of the Academic Support Center and Structured Learning Assistance.
Last spring, more than 1,000 students visited The Rock Café for pancakes served by President David Eisler, administrators and faculty.
For students interested in additional help, the Academic Support Center’s final days of tutoring will be Monday, Dec. 8 and Tuesday, Dec. 9, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information about ASC hours, call (231) 591-3543 or visit here.
