What Ferris Has to Offer

As a military veteran, you possess unique skills and valuable training that will contribute to the Ferris community and help you more quickly achieve your goals. Take the time to explore the tools below to find out how.

Programs and Concentrations

Today’s service members have a wide variety of skills, interests, and experiences, and Ferris has a broad range of academic programs specifically designed to help veterans succeed.

Credits for Military Experience and Training

Ferris offers academic credits for more the 1,500 military courses and occupations, with new military equivalencies being added every year.

Assessment of Prior Learning

Not all of your learning from experience fits onto a JST or Community College of the Air Force transcript. Ferris offers a robust online Assessment of Prior Learning to help transform your experiences into credits, meaning less time to degree and less student debt.

Gold-Level Veteran Student Resources

The Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency has recognized Ferris as a gold-level veteran friendly school. Veteran students at Ferris have a single point-of-contact for all issues related to financial aid and enrollment who is a veteran himself and understands the challenges veteran students faces transitioning to academic life.
