Ferris State STUNT prepares for 2026 GLVC Championship Tournament, eyeing first chance at a program title

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. — 

The Ferris State University STUNT program is ready to compete for its first chance at a title in the 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship Tournament, as the league office has released the postseason tournament bracket set for this upcoming weekend.

The GLVC Championships will be held Friday, Apr. 3, and Saturday, Apr. 4, in Springfield, Missouri at Drury University.

Maryville, Trevecca Nazarene, and Purdue Northwest universities were ranked as the top three seeds, respectively, with the Bulldogs are positioned at No. 5 overall.

 The eight-team tournament is seeded 1-8 based on the regular season head-to-head conference results. This quarterfinal schedule is as follows, start times in Central Daylight Time:

  • Quarterfinal 1: No. 2 Trevecca Nazarene vs. No. 7 Quincy | Friday, Apr. 3, 9 a.m.
  • Quarterfinal 2: No. 3 Purdue Northwest vs. No. 6 Lewis | Friday, Apr. 3, 10:15 a.m.
  • Quarterfinal 3: No. 1 Maryville vs. No. 8 Southwest Baptist | Friday, Apr. 3, 11:30 a.m.
  • Quarterfinal 4: No. 4 Drury vs. No. 5 Ferris State | Friday, Apr. 3, 12:45 p.m.

Some key takeaways for the Ferris State versus Drury matchup include:

  • Bulldogs went 9-6 overall (3-4 in GLVC) before the upcoming tournament
  • Ferris State is currently ranked No. 16 in the College STUNT Division II Poll

The losers of Quarterfinals 1 and 2 will face off at 2 p.m. with the defeated teams from the Quarterfinals 3 and 4 playing each other at 3:15 p.m.  The winners of the first two quarterfinals face each other at 4:30 p.m. and the winners of third and fourth quarterfinals matchups cap off day one, where they face each other at 5:45 p.m.

All GLVC Championship Tournament action will be livestreamed for $15 per game or $40 for the full tournament. More broadcast details will be shared the week of the event.

All spectators attending in person will be required to pre-purchase tickets online, as no cash will be accepted on site.
