Kamryn Shannon tallies third GLIAC Golfer of the Week honor this season after impressive showing in NC4K Classic

Ferris State University’s Kamryn Shannon is now a three-time Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Golf Player of the Week this year after an impressive showing in the NC4K Classic.
Shannon, a Sports Communication major with minors in Event Management and Digital Communication, picked up where she left off during the fall season as she was twice-named player of the week during that stretch.
Her recent honor came after leading the Bulldogs to a third-place team finish at the NC4K Classic, where she tied for third in the individual standings after shooting 80 in round one and a 75 in round two (155 stroke total).
Ferris State competed against 13 other schools in the field, as the team finished with a 646 stroke total. The third-place finish tied for the team’s best placement in a tournament during the spring season thus far.
The Bulldogs are competing in the University of Missouri-St. Louis Spring Invitational that wraps up on Apr. 13, which quickly segues into the GLIAC Championships on Apr. 17-19 in Augusta, Mich.
