Ferris State hosting an open house to highlight support services offered in the Student Success Hub

Ferris State University is giving students and community members a look at the support services and programs at its Grand Rapids Student Success Hub with an open house planned for Dec. 2.
The event runs from 1 to 3 p.m. in Ferris State’s building located at 17 Fountain Street and offers tours of the Student Success Hub and information about programs, resources, and staff available to help students and community members.
“The Student Success Hub brings personalized resources and support to West Michigan residents to help them take advantage of a transformative Ferris State education,” said Dr. Kasey Thompson, interim dean of Extended and International Operations.
“Ferris State is serving the people of this region whether they are planning to attend full time or take online classes to advance in their careers. The Grand Rapids Student Success Hub is their one-stop place to connect with our specialists to start, or re-start, their education.”
The success hub shares the building with Ferris State’s Kendall College of Art and Design and the university is exploring additional program options on the downtown campus.
The university this month announced it is deepening its commitment to West Michigan by appointing respected community leader Joe Jones as its new vice president of West Michigan Engagement, starting in January.
