Ferris State introduces its strategic plan
Ferris State University has unveiled its 2024-2027 strategic plan: Relevant and Responsive.
BIG RAPIDS, Mich. —

Ferris State University’s 2024-2027 Strategic Plan: Relevant and Responsive is in place, and leaders ask people across campus as well as alumni and stakeholders to share how the plan is guiding them in their work.

This strategic plan reflects the University’s core values, vision, and mission. It’s a collective effort to shape the university environment to be a place where for everyone to study, work, and thrive. Together, let’s make it happen.

The plan is based around four pillars that shape work at Ferris State: Belonging, Innovation, Student Excellence, and Sustainability.

Watch for digital promotional materials across campus and news stories highlighting the initiatives tied to the effort, with information on the Strategic Plan page on the university’s website, located here.

Each section on the plan’s webpage includes a tab where faculty and staff members can share updates about their department’s contributions that align with the plan’s objectives.

This ensures that all key efforts supporting the plan are acknowledged and shares how the plan touches the work of every single person on the Ferris State team. It’s an opportunity to learn about and be inspired by colleagues and their determination to provide students with a transformational education.

Four vice presidents will oversee specific pillars of the plan, ensuring their divisions actively implement its initiatives.

The Diversity, Inclusion, and Strategic Initiatives office will lead the Belonging Pillar, Academic Affairs will oversee the Innovation Pillar, Student Affairs will guide the Student Excellence Pillar, and Administration and Finance will focus on the Sustainability Pillar.
