Ferris State launching weekly Bulldog Beat Basketball Radio Show highlighting student-athletes

The Bulldog Sports Network and local flagship station Sunny 97.3 FM are launching a new weekly show focused on Ferris State University men's and women's basketball that will air the remainder of this season.

The “Bulldog Beat Basketball Radio Show,” presented by Two Hats Ranch, will hit the airwaves each from 6 to 7 p.m. each Wednesday throughout the rest of the season, hosted by the voices of Ferris State basketball, Rob Bentley and Sandy Gholston.

Along with the weekly airing on Sunny 97.3, the show will also be released each week in a podcast format on Spotify, YouTube and various social media platforms.

The men’s team is 18-3 on the season after reaching the Elite Eight round of the NCAA DII National Tournament last year. The women’s team is 14-5 a year after reaching the Final Four round of the tournament in 2024.

The first show of the year will air this Wednesday, and the show will regularly include Bulldog basketball coaches and student-athletes.

Each episode will include a preview of the upcoming matchups, a look back at the past week's action, a segment dedicated to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and Division II basketball on a national scale and more.

The weekly show, along with all game broadcasts, will all be carried live both on Sunny 97.3 FM and online across the Bulldog Sports Network at FerrisStateBulldogs.com.

The show is the latest podcast or radio show available on the Bulldog Sports Network, which also includes the weekly "Off The Ice" show focused on Bulldog Hockey along with "Behind The Bulldogs" that highlights Ferris State Athletics in general. In addition, the first season of the "Bulldog Blitz" Football Radio Show aired this past fall.
