Ferris State University to host convergence of tech, business, community leaders at its Kendall College of Art and Design on April 15 and 16

For the fourth year in a row, Ferris State University’s Kendall College of Art and Design will be the epicenter of a summit uniting West Michigan’s most influential leaders in tech, business, community building, and beyond during the Confluence Thought Series on April 15 and 16.
This year’s series is centered on the theme “We Make Things: Building Better Communities, Businesses, and Teams.” Through two days of in-depth conversation hosted at KCAD, as well as behind-the-scenes excursions to some of the region’s most innovative companies, attendees will be immersed in the people, platforms, technologies, and ideas that are shaping our collective future.
“West Michigan is famous for making products, but our expertise also extends to building better communities, companies and teams,” Confluence Executive Director Brian Cohen said. “From transformative civic construction projects to AI-driven hiring platforms, over two dozen leaders will share visionary ideas that are changing the way we work and live.”
Ferris State’s ongoing partnership with Confluence also includes supporting the organization’s annual festival in downtown Grand Rapids each September, a multidimensional public event that connects the worlds of art, music, science, and technology through interactive programs and shared experiences.
President Bill Pink highlighted the relationship as part of the University’s commitment to elevating its presence and impact in the region.
The 2025 Confluence Thought Series runs April 15–16 at KCAD, 17 Fountain Street NW. Tickets and complete details are available at confluencefest.com.
