Ferris State volleyball standouts Olivia Henneman-Dallape, Kaylee Maat earn GLIAC Players off the Week honors

A pair of Ferris State University women's volleyball standouts, senior outside hitter Olivia Henneman-Dallape and senior setter Kaylee Maat, have been chosen as Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Players of the Week.
Henneman-Dallape, an Oregon native, and Maat, of Hudsonville, led the 12th-ranked Bulldogs to an impressive weekend as Ferris State won all four matches at the University of Alabama Huntsville Invitational to move to 7-0 on the year.
This week, Henneman-Dallape earned the GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week honor for the second consecutive week while Maat was chosen as the GLIAC Setter of the Week.
A senior, Henneman-Dallape notched a team-leading 63 kills and hit .382 for the weekend overall while averaging 4.85 kills per set to go with 70 total points for a 5.38 average. She netted nine kills in the opening match versus Emmanuel University before totaling 18 against Tusculum University, 19 against The University of Alabama in Huntsville and 17 versus Harding University.
Maat tallied 140 assists in the weekend of work with only three set errors on 326 total attempts. She averaged 10.77 assists per set while adding 14 kills, six service aces and five total blocks for the Bulldogs.
Maat had 27 assists or more in all four contests, including a weekend-high 45 in a 3-1 win over host Huntsville, which was unbeaten going into the match.
Ferris State won three of the four contests in a sweep by 3-0 scores with the match against Huntsville ending in four sets.
The Bulldogs will open GLIAC play on the road with a league showdown on Friday, Sept. 20, against rival Grand Valley State University in Allendale starting at 6 p.m. Ferris State then heads to Wayne State University on Saturday, Sept. 21, for a 2 p.m. conference encounter.
