Koepf, Mishler Named Co-Interim Associate Dean of Ferris State College of Engineering Technology

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. — 

Angie Mishler and William Koepf have stepped into a new leadership role together, serving as co-interim associate deans for Ferris State University’s College of Engineering Technology.

Mishler and Koepf have years of experience working together and sharing the responsibilities has been a smooth transition.

Koepf has worked at Ferris State since 2000 and has served in a variety of roles, most recently as director of the School of Design and Manufacturing and director of the School of Engineering and Computing Technology.

Koepf looks forward to learning more about the operations side of academics. The role has allowed him to work with various programs, faculty, and staff members.  He is learning the administrative side in the Dean’s Office and is recognized as a leader by his colleagues.

“I want to contribute to forward momentum of the college,” he said.

Koepf is a Ferris State alumnus, earning a Bachelor of Science in Product Design Engineering Technology in 1991. He earned a Master of Science from Western State University in 2004.

Mishler has been working in the Dean’s Office for the College of Engineering Technology since 2014, leading as the director of Student Academic Affairs.

She has worked in a variety of areas around Ferris State since moving to Big Rapids in 1999 and has become a wealth of knowledge comprised of passion and dedication towards her work and assisting students.

Now, serving as co-interim associate dean for the college, she plans to help improve the collaboration between faculty, staff, and students for a positive educational experience.

“I want to systematically help fix policies, processes, and procedures within CET, while challenging and encouraging new innovation and educational processes,” she said.

Mishler has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a Business emphasis from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and earned a Master of Arts in Human Development from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota.
