BIG RAPIDS, Mich. —

- Four Ferris State University volleyball standouts earned All-Region accolades for the 2024 campaign and the Bulldogs landed two major regional awards as the university heads into its 13th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance this week.

The all-region recognition came from the American Volleyball Coaches Association as the All-Midwest Region teams were announced. The AVCA teams are selected by head coaches from across the country.

Ferris State senior outside hitter Olivia Henneman-Dallape, an Oregon, Ohio resident, earned All-Midwest Region First Team recognition and was chosen as the Midwest Region Player of the Year.

Senior setter Kaylee Maat of Hudsonville also was an all-region first team selection.

The Bulldogs also had two honorable mention all-region honorees in senior outside hitter Claire Nowicki of Clarkston and with senior middle hitter Chelsie Freeman of Amarillo, Texas.

Ferris State head coach Tia Brandel-Wilhelm was named AVCA Midwest Region Coach of the Year.

The quartet has led the Bulldogs to an unblemished 31-0 overall record this season along with both the GLIAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships. Ferris State is the nation's No. 1 team in the AVCA national poll.

Ferris State is the top seed and will host the Midwest Regional Tournament this week inside Bulldog Arena. The Bulldogs will face eighth-seeded University of Missouri-St. Louis on Dec. 5 in the regional quarterfinal round.
