One Stop Shop Saturday offers Ferris State students face-to-face, phone-in support addressing last-minute details

Ferris State University students can get their last-minute questions answered at the
One Stop Shop in the Timme Center for Student Services on Saturday, Aug. 24, from
10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Dean of Enrollment Services Kristen Salomonson said staff from several offices will be available on the first floor of the Timme Center for Student Services, including Admissions, Advising, Financial Aid, and Student Financial Services.
Salomonson said the team will be prepared to address questions or provide support
regarding these and other campus-based operations using face-to-face contact or over-the-phone
help.
Salomonson said a goal is to address questions on various topics important to students
and families preparing for college, face-to-face and by phone.
“The One Stop Shop intends to get the 2024 Fall semester off to a great start. We
welcome students to visit us that day at the Timme Center,” Salomonson said. “There
will be faculty, staff, and administrators on hand excited to connect with them as
they return to their lives as Bulldogs in Big Rapids.”
Students can stop by Timme Center, 1201 S State St., on Aug. 24 between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. for help with advising, applications, bills
or financial aid students. Staff can address specific questions about the admissions
process, including applications, by calling (231) 591-2000 during that timeframe.
Financial Aid experts will also be available in person or via phone (231) 591-2110
from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24.
“If a student has needs including the filing of an application or other questions,
the main campus line of (231) 591-2000 will be the number to call,” Salomonson said.
“We will have financial aid experts ready to help at (231) 591-2110 and we want to
be sure that the students’ Fall 2024 semester gets off to a great start. We welcome
students to visit us that day at the Timme Center. There will be staff and administrators,
excited to connect with them as they return to their lives as Bulldogs in Big Rapids.”
Director of Academic Advising Michael Zaborowski said students needing to add a class
or classes is no problem. He said students will have staff to assist them to ensure
they start and remain on academic track.
“Academic advisors will be available to help students prepare a schedule for their fall semester,” Zaborowski said. “We are also happy to schedule in-depth follow-up appointments that will prepare students to navigate their time at Ferris.”
The first day of the 2024 Fall semester is Monday, Aug. 26.
