The Band is Back Together!
After a decades-long hiatus, the Ferris State Marching Band returned to campus with its inaugural season in fall of 2025. The Ferris State Marching Band is open to all students on campus and prides itself on music excellence, entertainment, and a tight-knit community.

Enrich your college experience by being a part of something bigger than yourself! Join one of these sections: brass, woodwinds, drumline, color guard, or majorettes.
Earn credit
Students have the option to take marching band for one credit hour. You may repeat the class as many times as you choose.
Fund your passion
Students participating in marching band for the full year who maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher may be eligible to earn the Activity-Based Scholarship.
Band Camp
August 17-30, 2026
Two weeks before classes start, you'll participate in our on-campus band camp. Camp is designed to set you up for success, where music and movement come together. You'll spend your days learning music and mastering drill for the season's field show.
By the time of the first kick-off, you'll be prepared to put on a spectacular half-time show!
