Work with community partners like Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation, the River Restoration Project, Disability Advocates of Kent County, and others to get a deeper understanding of how collaborative design builds inclusion, sustainability, and equity.
Through real-world projects you’ll become a systems thinker who's fearless, curious, and ready to challenge assumptions. You’ll learn to design with people, not just for them, using empathy, strategy, and creativity to co-create meaningful change.
In various courses throughout the program, you’ll develop a versatile toolkit to tackle complex challenges, create meaningful experiences, and blend creativity with strategy to deliver solutions that work in the real world.
As a Collaborative Design graduate, you’ll be primed for a variety of careers in traditional design fields, businesses, and nonprofit organizations in addition to being able to adapt to and thrive in a rapidly evolving and increasingly competitive job market. You’ll also emerge well prepared to undertake graduate level study in a specialized area.
Kendall College of Art and Design and its programs are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD).
