About

Phil Renato (Carrizzi) is the founding chair of the Allesee Metals/Jewelry Design program at Kendall College of Art and Design. Since earning his MFA at the University of Washington he has built a reputation as a leader within his field, exhibiting work in over 50 national and international exhibitions. His writing and artwork has appeared on the cover of Metalsmith magazine and in the pages of numerous other periodicals and books. He was a visiting professor at Winthrop University on the History of Jewelry in 2009. He gives workshops on CAD modeling and the use of plastics for jewelry production, as well as giving lectures on his work and collaborations across the US and as far away as Portugal, China, and Dubai.
