Everything you need to know about using your technology at KCAD.

Software

KCAD offers free Microsoft Products to current students through the Microsoft Student Advantage. Through this program, students will be able to download products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and more free of charge. To get your free download of Microsoft products follow these simple steps:

1. Visit the Ferris State University Microsoft Office 365 login portal
2. Sign in with your Ferris credentials ([email protected] and password)
3. Click Apps on the left
4. Click the “Install Apps” button in the top right and choose Microsoft 365

If you have any issues please call Tech Support at 616.259.1129, email at [email protected], or just come and visit us in room 404 of the 17 Fountain St. NW building.

Wireless

KCAD has implemented a secure wireless network throughout the college. To connect to this wireless, select Bulldogs in the available networks list on your computer. The username and password will be your Ferris credentials (without @ferris.edu).

If you forget your password click on the password help link below the login, this should allow you to change your password. If you continue to have problems contact the helpdesk 616.259.1129 or 231.591.4822.

Printing

KCAD has printers available for students to use for school-related printing. These printers are located throughout the building for each department to use. Please treat all of the College's printers with care and make sure you are printing only what you need.

If you would like assistance in installing printer please stop by the Tech Office in room 404 in the main building.

When on campus you can access the printer installation page for instructions on installing lab printers if you would like to install the printers yourself.

Equipment Checkout

The Library at KCAD has the following equipment available for checkout to students. Please visit the library on the second floor for additional information:

• MacBook Pro power adapters
• iPhone Charging Cables w/ Power Adapter
