Kyle Austin
Content Coordinator

Kyle Austin co-leads the Communications team in showcasing the talents and accomplishments of KCAD’s far-reaching creative community. A seasoned and versatile storyteller, Kyle creates and directs engaging and authentic written, graphic, video, and web design content across a broad range of channels through a distinctly human-centered lens.

He also serves on the organizing team behind KCAD's international student design competition, Wege Prize, which empowers students around the world to harness the power of whole systems thinking, collaborative design, and creative problem solving to realize a truly circular economy and transform our world for the better. As a founding member of the team, Kyle has helped shape evolve the competition's mission, competitive framework, educational experience, and communication strategy since it's inception in 2013, all while amplifying participants' success stories and the positive impact of their work.

Prior to KCAD, Kyle served as Editor/Director of the nonprofit youth poetry organization Through The 3rd Eye, and as a staff writer for West Michigan-based arts and entertainment publication, REVUE. He holds a BA in English from Aquinas College.
