Jasen Witt, Assistant General Counsel of Labor Relations

Jasen Witt is a proud graduate of Wayne State University where he earned both his Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate. He was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in November of 2000. Jasen joined Ferris State University in June of 2026 after working for several years in chief human resources and executive leadership roles in public K-12 and higher education systems where he served as a chief labor relations strategist and advisor directing collective bargaining, contract administration, and employee relations among numerous other roles and/or responsibilities. Prior to moving into direct leadership roles within public education organizations, he worked as an attorney with Collins & Blaha, PC representing public school districts and educational institutions in collective bargaining, mediation, arbitration, employment litigation, and education law matters and, most recently, has been managing various Michigan civil court cases and education law matters throughout the United States for a national general law firm.
