Grad Fair on March 19 to Welcome Budding Alumni for Commencement Preparation, Post-Ferris Opportunity
Spring 2024 graduates of Ferris State University will be welcomed to a Grad Fair on Tuesday, March 19, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the ballrooms of the David L. Eisler Center.
BIG RAPIDS, Mich. —

Students planning to graduate from Ferris State University in May can learn how they can best prepare for commencement and take care of last-minute details at a Grad Fair hosted by the Alumni Relations office.

The event is planned for Tuesday, March 19 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the ballrooms of the David L. Eisler Center, 805 Campus Drive.

Ferris Alumni Association Executive Director Brandi Behrenwald said she expects to greet and support more than 400 students preparing for commencement ceremonies Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4.

“It is always a special opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of these students and congratulate them on their success,” Behrenwald said. “Our goal is to provide them a ‘one-stop shop’ for essential items related to their big day, such as purchasing a cap and gown, acquiring information on electronic commencement tickets, meeting with representatives of their college and creating a ‘Thank You’ video to be shown during the run-up to their graduation ceremony.”

The ballroom will also present vendors offering items such as class rings, life and auto insurance coverage, or printed materials to assist a graduate in pursuing an entry-level career opportunity.

“Brutus the Bulldog will be on hand, for those in cap and gown who want a photo with our mascot,” Behrenwald said. “There will be raffle prizes offered throughout the fair and we look forward to welcoming these soon-to-be grads and explaining all the benefits we can offer through the Alumni Association.”

Students with disabilities requiring assistance or accommodation to participate in the Grad Fair may contact Educational Counseling & Disabilities Services at (231) 591-3057 or by email.
