How will I receive a student bill?
In an effort to become more paperless, FSU prints one paper bill per semester. This paper bill is mailed to the billing or permanent address listed on the student account about a month before the semester begins. Also, at the same time an E-bill notification is sent to the student’s email account and authorized user email account.
Any subsequent billing statements throughout the semester are only sent electronically. Students, remember to set up authorized user access in E-bill for those that would need access to your billing statement. This authorized user access would allow others to receive monthly emails regarding your consolidated student tuition bill, see the detailed statement, and pay online using a checking or savings account or credit card.
The consolidated student bill can include charges such as tuition, room and board, books, parking permits, phone service, software charges, health center charges, and library fines.
What are my payent options for the student bill?
Students have two options to pay their tution and room and board charges at the beginning of the semester. Students can pay the full balance of the charges that are due approximately one week before classes begin each semester; or they can choose to pay 50% a week before classes, 25% by the middle of the month following the beginning semester, and the final 25% by the middle of the third month of the semester (there is a one-time per semester $30 deferred payment charge for this option). For more detailed information on payment options including due dates, visit the Student Account Payment Options page.
Is there any incentive to paying my student bill in full?
Yes, you will not be charged the $30 deferred payment fee, which is the deferred payment plan charge. Your semester bill must be paid in full before the beginning of classes
Can I carry a balance on my student bill over to the next semester?
In order to register for the next semester, the student account balance must be below $150. Also, keep in mind you may incur late fees if the balance is not paid by the due date and a hold will be placed on your transcripts.
How do I pay a past due bill and get it credited quickly?

How can I estimate the expenses I will incur for the upcoming academic year?
