  • Program Champion Attends Harvard Training Programs

    February 26th, 2013Health Care Marketing program champion Dr. Clay S. Dedeaux recently attended two programs led by the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, MA. The most recent training was the "Teaching by the Case Study Method: Principles and Practices for Health Educators" program held from January 25-27. This 2.5 day program introduced instructors in public health disciplines to case discussion leadership skills and attitudes. Participants engaged in active case discussions about the principles of case teaching and their applicability to the field of public health. This introductory workshop emphasized the roles, responsibilities, and skills of the discussion leader, the teacher-student relationship, developing the teaching plan, and an introduction to case-writing and case-based curriculum development in public health.   • 2013 ADDY Awards

    February 25th, 2013The 2013 West Michigan ADDY Awards were held at the Grand Rapids Art Museum on Thursday, February 21. The Ferris State University Graphic Design program participants enjoyed a successful night. The ADDY Awards are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition. Over 60,000 entries are received every year in local ADDY competitions. The mission of the ADDY competition is to recognize and reward creative excellence in the art of advertising. Transformation Identity, designed by Anne Sutton, won a Gold ADDY. Small Town Studio Identity also won a Gold ADDY. The student designers were Kate Dupon, Anne Sutton, Stephanie Demarest, Craig Cockerill, and Sarah Todd. A Silver ADDY was awarded to the Student Advancement Foundation for their Mindshare 2012...
