Atwell LLC Surveying Annual Scholarship
One (1) $1,000 Scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time sophomore, junior or senior student majoring in the Surveying Engineering
program
- Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA
- Financial need is not considered
- Additional Requirements: Student shall have demonstrated experience in on-campus surveying-related
student organizations.

Award amount varies annually
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time junior or senior student majoring in the Surveying Engineering program
- Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA

- Additional Requirements: Student shall have demonstrated industry related and personal
extracurricular activities as well as community involvement.

David R. Greer Surveying Engineering Endowed Scholarship
Award amount varies annually
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time student enrolled in any Surveying Engineering program
- GPA is considered
- Financial need is considered*
- Additional Requirements: Preference given to junior and senior level students with
above average academic standing; must have demonstrated leadership potential.

Donald C. Lowell Annual Surveying Scholarship
One (1) $1,000 scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time junior or senior majoring in the Surveying Engineering program
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Preference given to eligible students who demonstrate financial need as determined by the
Office of Student Financial Aid
- Recipient must be a member of the ACSM Student Chapter (Burt & Mullett)
- The recipient shall have a strong work ethic demonstrated through voluntary, professional
and/or community organizations and/or activities.

Geodetic Designs, Inc. Annual Scholarship
One (1) $1,000 scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time junior or senior majoring in the Surveying Engineering program
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher

James D. and Katy Moore Surveying Engineering Annual Scholarship
One (1) $750 scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time sophomore, junior or senior enrolled in the Surveying Engineering program
- Minimum GPA is 2.5

One (1) $2,500 scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester

- Additional Requirements: The student shall have demonstrated interest in student,
local chapter, state and national level professional activities.

Joseph L. Bishop Surveying Scholarship
One (1) $500 scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time student enrolled in any Surveying Engineering program
- GPA is considered
- Financial need is not considered
- Additional Requirements: Preference given to Oakland County, Michigan residents and
to students with Junior or Senior status; must be a student member of MSPS Student
Chapter and have demonstrated an interest by participation at student, local or state
level activities; sponsored students are not eligible to apply.

Khagendra Thapa Surveying Scholarship
One (1) $500 scholarship
- Full-time student enrolled in the Surveying Engineering program
- Financial need is not considered
- Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Additional Requirements: Preference given to junior or senior level students; preference
given to female students with demonstrated commitment to the advancement of women
in the field of surveying; must have demonstrated leadership potential and the capacity
to contribute significantly to their chosen profession; must have at least an average
academic status; sponsored students are not eligible.

Lewis & Lewis Professional Surveying Scholarship
One (1) $600 scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time junior or senior enrolled in the Surveying Engineering program

- Additional Requirements: Preference given to Non-Traditional students; must have at least an average academic status; sponsored students are not eligible.

Mary C. Feindt Surveying Scholarship
One (1) $500 scholarship
- Full-time sophomore or above enrolled in any Surveying Engineering program
- GPA is considered
- Financial need is not considered
- Additional Requirements: Must be a female student in any surveying engineering program with a good academic standing.

Moore & Bruggink, Incorporated Scholarship
One (1) $2,500 scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time sophomore or junior enrolled in the Surveying Engineering program
- GPA is considered
- Financial need is not considered
- Additional Requirements: Must be US Citizen and resident of the State of Michigan;
preference given to residents of the Grand Rapids/West Michigan area; must be a student
member of the MSPS Student Chapter and demonstrate interest by participation at student,
local chapter, and/or state level activities; internships with Moore & Bruggink are
encouraged; sponsored students are not eligible

Northern Chapter - Michigan Society of Professional Surveyors Annual Scholarship
One (1) $500 annual scholarship (Due December 1)
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time undergraduate student majoring in the Surveying Engineering program
- Financial need is considered (you must complete a FAFSA)
- Minimum GPA 2.0
- Preference given to students who are current members of the Michigan Society of Professional
Surveyors and have residence within the Northern Chapter Michigan Society of Professional
Surveyors geographic area.

Richard L. Rought Surveying Scholarship
One (1) $1,000 scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time sophomore student enrolled in the Surveying Engineering program
- GPA is considered
- Financial need may be considered*
- Additional Requirements: Preference given to residents of West Michigan; must have
at least an average academic standing; potential ability and student desire may be
considered; sponsored students are not eligible to apply.

Robert C. Burtch Geodetic Surveying Scholarship
One (1) $500 scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time student enrolled in the Surveying Engineering program

- Additional Requirements: Preference given to senior students; must have demonstrated
leadership potential and the capacity to contribute significantly to his or her chosen
profession; must be a member of American Congress on Surveying and Mapping (ACSM)
or Institute of Navigation

Outside scholarships are not managed by Ferris State University. However, it is our
intent to make students aware of additional funding opportunities. If you have questions
