Application Materials Required

Admission to a graduate program is granted to students showing high promise of success. The application materials required below, along with other reasonable indications of promise, will be used in combination to arrive at a final judgment. Once application materials are received, your packet will be submitted for an admission decision. This process takes no more than a week to ten days. You will be notified by email and will also will receive an acceptance letter by US Mail from the MSN Program Coordinator with further instructions to get you started.

Once you have completed your online application to Ferris State University, the following materials need to be submitted:

1. Transcripts. Official transcripts from any university attended for BSN and any MSN course work are needed for consideration of admission and/or transfer credit. Ferris graduates need not submit transcripts for coursework completed at Ferris.
2. Resume.
   A current, professional resume or curriculum vitae.
3. Recommendations. Three professional recommendations attesting to your ability to succeed in graduate studies. Recommendations will only be accepted using the FORM we provide.  Request this form by sending an email to buckd@ferris.edu.
4. Writing Sample. APA format preferred on a specified topic or a two-page, typed goal statement stating your professional goals and how the MSN program can assist you in meeting your goals.

Note: Original documents become property of Ferris State University and cannot be returned. MSN application materials can be submitted by mail, fax, or scanned and sent by email:
