Minor
Locations:
The Product Design minor introduces students to the creative process of designing products that balance innovation, functionality, and aesthetics. Students learn to approach design challenges by considering human needs, technological integration, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Through hands-on studio experiences and coursework, students explore design research, visualization, digital modeling, prototyping, and fabrication. This minor helps students develop the ability to think critically, solve complex design problems, and communicate ideas effectively. It is an excellent complement for majors in art, engineering, business, or technology who wish to expand their design thinking and product development skills.
Graduates of the Product Design minor will be equipped to contribute creatively to industries focused on consumer products, furniture, technology, and sustainable design.
