Calling all artists, designers, and makers! West Michigan’s popular Holiday Artists Market returns for its 33rd year on Saturday, December 7. Hosted by The Spark at Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University, the 2024 market will showcase more than 50 vendors at KCAD's 17 Fountain St. NW building.
Alongside local vendors, this year’s market offers 20 booths exclusively for current KCAD students. Application and booth fees for KCAD students are waived, providing a valuable opportunity to showcase their work and gain experience operating within an artist market.
Vendor applications to participate are open now through June 22. Accepted artists will be notified by June 28.
Year after year, the highly anticipated market brings thousands of shoppers out to support the local creative economy and shop for unique, hand-crafted gifts. Visitors can look forward to shopping original artwork, jewelry, ceramics, fiber arts, prints, home goods, toys, and more.
“We’re honored to continue this tradition of championing local creatives,” said Mikayla Portee, KCAD Retail Manager for The Spark. “With our collaborative spirit and unwavering support for West Michigan’s creative community, we are well-equipped to carry the torch forward.”
The Holiday Artists Market has offered the region’s creative community a prominent platform to showcase and sell their wares since 1988. Previously hosted by the former Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts, which closed in 2023, the annual event will continue to support local artists and makers under the guidance of The Spark and KCAD.
