Statement

The project displayed is located along the Choptank River in Cambridge, Maryland. The area faces escalating challenges from climate change, including frequent flooding due to rising sea levels. Compounding these challenges are limited public waterfront access and historical racial inequalities in land ownership, which have fostered disconnection between residents and the river. The brief seeks innovative design solutions to address these interconnected issues. The focus is on mitigating flooding, enhancing equitable access to the riverfront, and fostering community resilience.

What my time at KCAD meant to me

I have appreciated learning from and working closely with the professors at KCAD. I enjoyed making friends with my classmates and growing with each other. The experiences I had at Kendall have allowed me to become more creative and will carry into my career.
