Statement

Since my early days of buildings Legos and generating endless worlds in Minecraft I have wanted to become an architect, with that comes a special thanks to my parents and to my brother for allowing me to overtake the basement of our home and transform it into a Lego city to express my designs when I was growing up.

Architecture being the discipline that is supposed to organize and even act as several different things allows for a broad range of design both big and small. With our ever changing world and the effects of climate change designers need to be the change that future designers and architects can become.

I hope to one day give back to the architectural community and help cultivate and explore new designs with the new generation of emerging professionals no matter their background or experience. My time both at Ferris State and KCAD have helped me evolve my design orientation finding a passion for model making both schematic and final. The world ahead of me is confusing but I look forward to being able to give back to those who have supported me.

What my time at KCAD meant to me

My time within the M.Arch program here at KCAD and the undergrad program at Ferris have helped me shape my mind into a design orientated person. A huge thanks to Michael Jen for putting up with me over the past two years even when I pushed back on some of his advice while helping my design skills. Thanks to Dr. McCulloch for seeing my potential while in undergrad and helping me improve my skills and knowledge of architecture.

I have learned so much over the past six years and will always cherish my time within the KCAD-Ferris program. The lifelong friends and companions I can lean on going forward into my next chapter are exponential
